20th International Couette-Taylor Workshop

11-13 July 2018
The ICTW 20 will be held in Marseille, France on the Mediterranean coastline, the 11th-13th July 2018. The conference is hosted by Aix-Marseille University, CNRS and Centrale Marseille, on the Château-Gombert campus.

The meeting is devoted to fundamental problems in fluid mechanics, with particular emphasis in nonlinear dynamics and flow instabilities.

Selected key-note talks, oral and poster presentations will cover
  •             experimental,
  •             theoretical and
  •             computational investigations on
  •     Taylor-Couette flows,
  •     spherical and planar Couette flows,
  •     Rayleigh-Bénard instability,
  •     Rayleigh-Taylor instability,
  •     Dean instability,
  •     rotating and swirling flows,
  •     transitional flows,
  •     shear flows,
  •     stratified flows,
  •     geophysical and atmospheric flow instabilities, and
  •     MHD flows.
