The originality of M2P2 lies in its research themes in the fields of Numerical Fluid Mechanics and Process/Chemical Engineering, as it was formed in 2004 from the merger of the MSNM (Numerical Modélisation and Simulation Numérique in Mechanics laboratory) with the LPPE (Process/Chemical Engineering and Environnement laboratory).
As a research unit in Engineering Sciences, the laboratory's research spectrum is broad and continuous, ranging from fundamental research motivated by the desire to increase knowledge to finalized research linked to economic and societal challenges, in close collaboration with private partners.
